Bollington Art Group is a thriving art group, based in Bollington near Macclesfield, Cheshire. Founded in 1964 we currently have a membership of 100 and a longish waiting list*. We meet on Monday evenings in the Civic Hall and Wednesday afternoons in the Arts Centre.

We run a taught programme throughout our year, which runs from September to July. Our tutors are either qualified art teachers or recognised professional artists. Generally the programme is broken down into roughly six week courses, with a new tutor for each course. The topics might be subject based, or media based. We also hold demonstrations by local artists, to which non-members are cordially invited, and a few one day workshops, which are for members only.  We expect members to sign up for a complete course, which might be three, four, or more sessions. If you can’t  attend one of the session, then you need to understand that we expect you to pay for all the sessions, as we still have to pay for the room and the tutors.

Our year ends with our annual exhibition displaying the work of our very talented members.

* We had to close our waiting list for quite a while, but as of September 2017, it has now been reopened.  Should you be interested in putting your name on the waiting list, then please use the form on our Contacts page, making sure you give your name, email address and contact phone number.
