We have two remaining workshops for the 2019/2020 painting season.  

8th February 2020 - Stephen Ashurst

Well, this looks interesting…

The topic is called “Abstracted Aerial Still Life - Bowls and Fruit”

Stephen will bring one still life set up.  He will introduce the session giving some pointers.  You will be encouraged to look at the space around objects as much as the objects themselves.

Materials - not a prescriptive list, but ideally media which is repairable/recoverable/mendable

• Heavy watercolour paper loosely primed
• Weighty pencil (nothing expensive!) (I’m assuming that means somewhat stronger than HB!)
• Chalk pastels
• Acrylics
• Gouache
• Charcoal
• Odourless hairspray as a fixative
• Gesso
• PVA glue (possibly)

The workshop is held in the Arts Centre from 10 am to 4 pm.  Members only and you must pre-book with our secretary, Adele.
